Dr. Alan Kwong Hing DDS MSc

 

Dr. Alan Kwong Hing graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (with distinction) from the University of Western Ontario in 1989. He received the University Gold Medal and completed a concurrent Master's Degree in Pathology.

In 1989, Dr. Kwong Hing represented Canada at the International Association for Dental Research competition in Dublin, Ireland. He won the prestigious Hatton Award for his predoctoral research with MRIs.

He also received the only Medical Research Council of Canada Scholarship awarded in Canada that year for a four-year program involving PhD research and a periodontal diploma. He discontinued his research and periodontal diploma to enter private practice as a general dentist.

He is a diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and has numerous university degrees and awards to his credit. He is a published author, and lectures nationally and internationally on dental implant surgery and bone grafting for Nobel Biocare and Osteohealth.

Dr. Kwong Hing offers a mini-residency to train dentists and denturists in dental implant surgery and restorations. He and a partner own several dental offices across southern Ontario, and emphasize the delivery of comprehensive, implant-based aesthetic dentistry.
